A beginner-friendly intro to skatepark skating in a supportive, safety-focused setting.

Designed for skaters ready to take their skating into the skatepark for the first time. We cover park awareness, etiquette, posture, rolling on transition, pumping fundamentals, and approaching features with control.

 

This is not an advanced tricks class — it's an introductory class focused on foundational skill-building, park understanding, and proper progression.

 

What you'll work on:

Skatepark awareness & etiquette

Park flow and shared-space safety

Posture, stance & body positioning

Rolling on transition & beginner park surfaces

Pumping fundamentals

Approaching features with control

Beginner line awareness

Confidence-building drills

Skill requirements

Stand on skates confidently

Roll forward comfortably

Roll backward comfortably

Stop on your own without assistance

 

How to prepare:

Arrive early to gear up and sign in

Wear comfortable athletic clothing

Bring water

 

Bring full safety gear (Required) including:

Helmet

Elbow pads

Knee pads

Wrist guards

Padded shorts are strongly recommended.

 

We will have rental gear on hand if you don't own any or need a specific item.

 

Skaters must also bring their own skates. No skater will be allowed to participate without the required protective gear and their own skates.

 

Safety comes first.

If you arrive without the required gear or without your own skates, you will not be able to participate in class.
